Mini Cooper 3D Car Model (Work in Progress)

In this project I want to create a 3D Car Model of a Mini Cooper. I have been using the program 3DS Max 2017 to create the Car Model. Here are some renders of the 3D Model so far:

The technique I used to model the car is called Edge Modelling. Before I created the car body I looked online for blueprints of the Mini Cooper.

 

Once I found these blueprints I then cropped them in Photoshop and imported them into 3DS Max as Planes. I then lined up all the blueprints together. 

 

Once this was done I proceeded to do the 3D Modelling. I initially started off with the cylinder to create the Wheel Arch. I then converted it to an editable poly and created more edges for the rest of the car body. I then used the vertices to match the edges with the blueprints of the Mini Cooper.

Once this was I applied the Mesh Smooth modifier to the car body to make the 3D model look more smooth.

I used this technique to create the half of the Car body. To create the other half I used the Symmetry modifier.

I have almost got the Car body finished. I just have to smooth out some edges. Once I have done this I will then finish the rest of the 3D Model (basically the tyres, steering wheel, car lights, exhaust and number plate).
